Presentation of Sponge City and Parenting Education System proposals

It was an honour to meet the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, and present him with copies of the books I have authored. During the meeting, I also had the opportunity to share a detailed overview of two of my upcoming initiatives — 'Sponge City' and the 'Parenting Education System' — both envisioned to contribute towards building a better Assam. The Hon'ble Chief Minister listened to the proposals with great interest, offered his valuable thoughts, and extended his warm wishes and blessings for the road ahead.

Key Government Initiatives & Projects

Poshan Pakghar Initiative (2021)

Promoting nutrition and hygiene through innovative Anganwadi kitchen models.

Introduced food diversity, efficient cooking systems, and sustainable kitchen gardens. Recognised by the State Department for innovation.

Mission Zero SAM (2022)

Targeted initiative to eradicate Severe Acute Malnutrition.

Implemented a color-coded identification system and inter-departmental convergence for medical, nutritional, and counselling support.

Poshan Bhog & Poshan Ladoo (2023)

Community-driven nutrition program using traditional foods.

Introduced nutritious meals and energy-dense ladoos to improve immunity and reduce malnutrition.

MANTHAN – Self Evaluation

Capacity-building initiative for ICDS functionaries.

Workshops and consultations created feedback loops to resolve operational challenges and improve service delivery.

Lahara Chapari Convergence (2023)

Bridging the gap for a remote tribal village situated on an island in the Brahmaputra river.

These photographs document a historic turning point. Until 2023, this community remained largely untouched by government schemes due to extreme geographical isolation. Through a high-impact Convergence Program, we brought together all line departments for the first time. The images show the challenging journey by boat and the collaborative field visit that turned a "forgotten" island into a center for integrated development.

Bagan Women's Market (2023)

Transformative initiative for women's economic empowerment in the Kohora area.

These photographs and news reports document the successful launch of the Kaziranga Bagan Mahila Bazar. By leveraging the high tourist footfall of Kaziranga National Park, this project provided a direct platform for local village women to sell their products to both domestic and international visitors.

Generational Digital Initiative (2022)

An integrated online platform designed to bridge the generational gap.

These photographs capture the launch of another visionary digital initiative in 2022. It was designed to bridge the generational gap between adolescent girls and senior citizens, fostering mutual understanding, mentorship, and digital literacy.
